Ambedkar International Center AIC USA

The Ambedkar International Center (AIC) is a non-profit organization based in the United States of America, dedicated to promoting the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a social reformer and the architect of the Indian Constitution. The AIC was founded in 2004 by a group of scholars, activists, and community leaders, with the aim of spreading awareness about Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas and philosophy, and their relevance in the contemporary world.

The AIC organizes various events and programs throughout the year, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and cultural events, to promote the study and dissemination of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas and teachings. The AIC also works towards strengthening the socio-economic and political status of marginalized communities in India and around the world, in keeping with Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of social justice and equality.

The AIC’s activities are focused on four main areas:

  1. Education: The AIC provides scholarships and financial assistance to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them pursue higher education.
  2. Health: The AIC runs health and wellness programs, including free medical camps, to promote better health outcomes for marginalized communities.
  3. Empowerment: The AIC provides training and capacity-building programs to women and other marginalized groups, to enable them to become more self-reliant and independent.
  4. Advocacy: The AIC engages in advocacy and policy work, to promote the rights and interests of marginalized communities, and to influence policy-makers to adopt more inclusive and equitable policies.

The AIC’s work has received widespread recognition, and it has been honored with numerous awards and accolades, including the Ambedkar Ratna Award, the Gandhi Peace Prize, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Award.
