Yashwant Ambedkar

Yashwant Bhimrao Ambedkar also known as Bhaiyasaheb was born on 12th December 1912. Yashwantrao completed his education till Matric.

Yashwantrao Ambedkar married to Miratai Ambedkar in the year of 19th April 1953. Yashwantrao runs Buddha Bhushan Printing Press. From the year of 1944 he was looking for the Editorial News papers Janata, Prabuddha Bharat.

In this press Yashwantrao published Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s historical book Thoughts on Pakistan. Also he published Federation versus Freedom & Thoughts on Linguistic States in this press. Also Bhaiyasaheb Ambedkar established many monuments of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. He was a social activist, newspaper editor. After death of his father Dr. Babaaheb Ambedkar he continue to fulfill the social works.

He was the first and only surviving child of Ramabai Ambedkar and Babasaheb Ambedkar. He has 3 sons and 1 daughter.

Yashwant Ambedkar was the co-founder of the Republican Party of India, which has its roots in the Scheduled Castes Federation led by B. R. Ambedkar. In 1958, he represented India at the World Buddhist Conference in Bangkok, Thailand. He represented India at the World Buddhist Conference in Sri Lanka in 1972.
He was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council from 1960 to 1966. He died on 17 September 1977 near about more than one million people attended his funeral.
